V2X is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead cybersecurity compliance efforts supporting the redesign and migration of technical systems and the achievement of an Authority to Operate (ATO).
Responsibilities
- Guide Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, coordinate the implementation and documentation of security controls, and collaborate with technical teams to collect the evidence and compliance artifacts necessary to support system authorization.
- Organize and manage cybersecurity compliance controls, assessment requirements, and capture planning activities in support of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO process.
- Collect, review, and develop documentation and compliance artifacts required to demonstrate implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls.
- Collaborate across technical and cybersecurity teams to understand system design, evaluate how security controls are being applied, and ensure supporting artifacts are captured and maintained for authorization activities.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- IAT II certification (Security+ or better) required.
- Eligibility to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust/NACI Clearance required.
Experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in cybersecurity required, including a solid understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Demonstrated experience supporting the RMF process from initiation through completion and successfully achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Experience working with eMASS, cybersecurity compliance controls, and RMF Revision 5 requirements, preferred.
Skills and Technology
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments, including standard cloud services and security control inheritance concepts.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity compliance requirements and the ability to evaluate how security controls are implemented within technical environments.
- Proficiency in developing clear, concise policy documents, compliance documentation, and supporting security artifacts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and compliance information for a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with system engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, and other project stakeholders throughout the RMF and ATO process.

- The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $115,000.00 – $145,000.00
