Job summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Mid-Level SE-3 supporting the 46 Test Squadron Advanced Datalink Test Lab at Eglin AFB, FL. The ISSO will perform cybersecurity duties across multiple development programs, producing RMF documentation and supporting both mobile and fixed information systems.

This onsite role at Eglin AFB requests TS/SCI eligibility, DoD RMF expertise, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure SSP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3–10 years of relevant experience; education can be substituted with additional experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Produce RMF documentation for multiple systems across locations.
• Develop, build, and adapt RMF packages to meet DoD testing requirements.
• Create and maintain A&A packages and SCTM components.
• Review Windows and Linux audit reports, document findings, and address anomalies.
• Ensure SSP compliance and maintain up‑to‑date information system security documentation.
• Support design, procurement, build-out, and sustainment of mobile and fixed information systems.
• Identify and initiate corrective actions for security incidents per incident response plans.
• Apply configuration management for hardware/software changes and coordinate with ISSM.

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Mid-Level SE-3 supporting the 46 Test Squadron Advanced Datalink Test Lab at Eglin AFB, FL.

The ISSO will perform cybersecurity duties for multiple developmental test programs and operating locations, producing high volumes of RMF documentation, conducting security reviews, and supporting both mobile and fixed information system environments.

This is a full-time, onsite position at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of an ISSO within an Advanced Programs Developmental Test & Evaluation laboratory.
• Produce RMF documentation throughout the system lifecycle for numerous systems and multiple operating locations.
• Conduct technical and non-technical reviews and audits as directed by the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
• Develop, build, configure, and adapt RMF documentation packages to meet DoD Information System test requirements.
• Create and maintain Assess & Authorize (A&A) packages.
• Apply NIST security control guidance to develop Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM) components and assess vulnerabilities across operating systems.
• Review Microsoft and Linux audit reports; ensure audit records are collected, analyzed, documented, and anomalies addressed.
• Ensure all Information System security documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.
• Conduct periodic reviews of Information Systems and Continuous Monitoring plans to ensure SSP compliance.
• Support the design, procurement, build-out, and sustainment of mobile and fixed Information Systems.
• Identify and initiate corrective actions for security incidents or vulnerabilities according to incident response plans.
• Apply Configuration Management processes for hardware/software; ensure system changes are documented and coordinated with the ISSM and Authorizing Official.
• Perform OSHA single-person lifting (approx. 40 lbs.) for equipment setup.
• Travel CONUS/OCONUS as required and work independently in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI

Education: Bachelor's Degree and 3–10 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for education)

Certifications: DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: CISSP, CASP

Experience using SCAP Compliance Checker or Evaluate STIG for scanning systems.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to provide current Advanced Program references.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Ability to write all RMF supporting documentation.
• Experience producing A&A packages and adapting DoD IS RMF documentation for testing environments.
• Strong understanding of NIST security controls and SCTM development.
• Experience with Microsoft and Linux audit report review and analysis.
• Ability to maintain IS documentation and continuous monitoring compliance.
• Experience supporting design, build, and sustainment of Information Systems (mobile and fixed).
• Knowledge of incident response processes and corrective actions.
• Understanding of Configuration Management for hardware/software changes.
• Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs. for system setup.
• Preferred: Ability to use SCAP Compliance Checker or Evaluate STIG to scan standalone and networked systems.
