Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks an Information System Security Officer I to lead security certification efforts for IT refresh projects. The role requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly and U.S. citizenship, with at least seven years as an ISSO.

You will develop SSP/NIST/RMF-compliant documentation, coordinate with customers and vendors, and process SSP hardware updates via Service Now. Compensation ranges widely by location and expertise.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of ISSO experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent with additional IT/Engineering experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Cyber and/or IT certifications such as Security+ CE.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey solutions and best practices.

Responsibilities

REQUIRED:

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVEAN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

Responsibilities:

• Develops or Maintains Security Certification Service for our Information Technology (IT) Refresh and Reset Program in accordance with contractual requirements. Reviews and evaluates complex customer Security Issues and implements corrective action as needed. Interfaces with customers, various locations and vendors, to resolve Security problems and provide information on containment or resolution.

• Ensures that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements.

• Develops and updates System Security Plan documentation ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

• Processes System Security Plan (SSP) hardware update requests using Service Now platform

Position Requirements:

• Seven (7) years of experience as ISSO

• Bachelor's degree in technical related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent is required. Five (5) years of additional Information Technology or Engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

• Cyber and/or IT certifications such as Security + CE.

• Expertise providing strong written and verbal communication conveying solutions and best practices required.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
