Job summary

SMX seeks an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to provide senior leadership for security across highly complex programs onsite in Camp Springs, MD. The role requires a Top-Secret clearance and DHS USCIS experience.

Responsibilities include setting security objectives, managing staffing and schedules, directing cross-functional security activities, and mentoring executives on governance and culture. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active DHS Suitability clearance required.
• Direct experience working within DHS USCIS.
• IAM Level III certification or similar (CISSP/CISM).
• Knowledgeable with FISM, NIST, ATOs, RMF.
• Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for security aspects of complex programs under the task order.
• Set security objectives, define scope and goals, and select security methodologies.
• Forecast and manage security staffing and resources; develop schedules for initiatives.
• Direct cross-functional security activities and address risks and issues.
• Mentor senior executives on security governance and culture.
• Apply advanced technical expertise to inform decisions.
