Responsibilities

The ISSE II will support the Naval Surface Warfare Command in Philadelphia, PA, providing cybersecurity support for the Code 104 Information Technology Operations Division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessment & Authorization (A&A)
  • Cybersecurity Compliance and Audit Readiness
  • Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Vulnerability Scanning and Remediation
  • Implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)
  • Developing, maintaining, and tracking Risk Management Framework (RMF) system security plans
  • Executing the RMF process for system authorizations
  • Identifying and tailoring security control baselines
  • Performing Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM)
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and security control testing
  • Mitigating vulnerabilities and maintaining POA&Ms in eMASS
  • Developing system-level policies and procedures
  • Implementing and assessing STIGs and SRGs
  • Deploying security updates and performing routine audits
  • Maintaining inventory and supporting configuration management
  • Supporting cybersecurity patching and compliance with DoD and DoN directives
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in information security operations, including security requirements, architecting, design, development, configuration, and security controls implementation.

Certifications: Must hold at least one of the following: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or Security+ CE.

Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance are required.
