How will you make an impact in this role?

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with technology and business partners across various functions to ensure alignment, understanding, and ongoing communication on security controls and information security risk management. This role involves both structured and unstructured assignments, requiring strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide information security consultation to internal business partners and vendors in assessing information security risks, suggesting best practices, and mitigating controls to protect corporate intellectual capital and other sensitive data.
  • Ensure security best practices, policies, and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Review current security standards, policies, and configuration around the Mobile and Desktop End User Computing environment, including security configuration settings in End User Computing (Windows and macOS) and Mobile (Android & iOS) platforms.
  • Review browser configuration and extension management in partnership with Business Units.
  • Conduct security assessments of applications with respect to design and implementation of system and application code.
  • Participate in the development of strategies for information security processes and programs.
  • Support the investment decision process by developing business cases and cost-benefit analyses for new information security solutions.
  • Build reports and other materials to assist in prioritizing activities related to various threats to web and network operations.
  • Document current and desired future state capabilities, incorporating industry-leading technologies that improve AXP's ability to handle IT risk and protect data.
  • Monitor news feeds and sources for emerging threats, zero days, updates, and new industry trends and tools.
  • Provide ongoing awareness and education of industry efforts and statistics relevant to information security.
  • Develop and define IT and information security standardized metrics and criteria.
  • Facilitate improvement solutions by working with all levels across Technology to establish security technology solutions that align with business strategies, IT strategic directions, and compliance objectives.
  • Collaborate and partner with key groups such as Operational Risk, Records Management, Information Security, Asset Management, and data owners.
  • Work individually and with teams on both structured and unstructured assignments.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert or lead multiple moderately complex initiatives.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of architecting and engineering complex enterprise-level solutions.
  • Demonstrated information security-focused design/deployment experience with emphasis on End User Computing (Desktop & Mobile), virtualization technologies, cloud solutions, and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 architecture, authentication, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, PCI, ISO, COBIT, COSO, CMMI).
  • Strong working knowledge of common enterprise information security controls, defense in depth, risk assessment, etc.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills for documenting initiatives that the team reviews for compliance to Information Security Standards and recording risks, action plans, etc.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
