Job summary

ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our Alaska team at Fort Greely. The ISSO will implement security measures, assess risks, maintain RMF documentation, and advise on cyber posture across cloud and on-prem environments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS/IT, 2–4 years of ISSO experience, and strong communication skills to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A Secret clearance is required and proactive leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2–4 years of proven work experience as an Information Systems Security Officer or a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of information security principles, methodologies, and best practices
• 2+ years of experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing security controls
• Proficiency with RMF and security tools such as eMass, Xacta, CSAM
• Experience in cloud and on-premises system security and incident response

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to address security concerns and ensure regulatory compliance
• Educate employees on information security best practices and incident response
• Provide RMF support to System Owners maintaining a secure posture
• Assess security of cloud and on-premise systems and document assessments
• Maintain RMF A&A documentation in accordance with DOJ policies
• Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigations
• Monitor security logs and respond to incidents
• Ensure robust security controls for systems, networks, and data
• Advise management on cybersecurity risks and strengthen defenses
• Develop security policies and long-range plans for cybersecurity needs
• Determine information security requirements by evaluating business strategies and standards
• Provide proactive advisement on system security and new ATOs
