Job summary

Istari is seeking a highly experienced Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to join our Cybersecurity team. This hybrid role is based in Arlington, VA, with three days onsite weekly, focusing on protecting information systems across environments.

You will develop and enforce security policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations while collaborating with engineering and customer success to ensure secure implementations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience and knowledge of federal/commercial frameworks.
• Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability identification, and incident response.
• Strong communicator capable of explaining complex topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor on cybersecurity of assigned information systems.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate security policy aligned with JSIG, NIST, ITAR, and CMMC.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in info systems.
• Develop and implement security controls to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and evaluate security control effectiveness.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to employees.
• Investigate security incidents and breaches.
• Maintain system security plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer success for secure implementations.
