Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead and develop security initiatives in George. You will oversee the information security program, including policy development, risk management, incident response, and security awareness.

This is a core leadership role within IT, requiring a strategic thinker who can guide a team and influence stakeholders. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST), and ongoing control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, CS, or a related field; master's preferred.
• 7+ years in information security management with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and DLP.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud security, and application security principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and procedures.
• Oversee risk management program, identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead the information security team with mentoring and performance management.
• Direct incident response planning, detection, containment, eradication, recovery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to secure IT infrastructure, apps, and data.
• Conduct regular security audits to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
