Job summary

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) is seeking an Information Security Manager to lead the security program within the Information Technology department. The role focuses on governance, risk, compliance, incident response, and security automation.

You will supervise the security team and collaborate with stakeholders to drive a proactive security posture. The ideal candidate has deep technical credibility, strong people management skills, and the ability to influence security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership in security teams.
• 5+ years hands-on with enterprise security tools and technologies.
• Experience with MDR providers and third‑party security partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve security governance, risk, and compliance across the organization.
• Oversee vulnerability management, patching, access controls, and configuration hardening.
• Coordinate penetration testing and remediation of findings.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee third‑party risk management and vendor security requirements.
• Lead security awareness training and education across teams.
