Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze, identify and remediate unused rules, objects and object groups within firewall rulesets in on-prem and cloud environments


• Utilize the security monitoring tools to support audits (Ex: AlgoSec)


• Report and review the compliance status and take remediation actions


• Determine the severity and complexity of issues pertaining to the security and protection of systems data, (autonomously or as part of a team) to ensure the protections, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data


• Collaborate with customers, team members and other technical personnel to ensure mitigation of security risks pertaining to the company


• Define, implement, audit, and maintain firewall security policies

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)


• 3+ years of experience with Firewall rule/policy analysis and remediation


• 3+ years of experience with Cloud Security


• 1+ years of AlgoSec utilization experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Perl and REGEX experience


• Splunk experience


• Security governance and compliance experience


• Proven communication skills for team and customer engagement


• Data analysis experience

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
