Placements24 is seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst with a Threat Intelligence focus to monitor, analyze, and report on cyber threats impacting the organization. You will gather intelligence from multiple sources, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to strengthen defenses in a hybrid work setting in Paarl.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Cybersecurity, 2-4 years of threat intel or security analysis, and hands-on experience with TIPs and malware analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 2-4 years of threat intelligence or cybersecurity analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, attack vectors, and malware analysis.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and security tools.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and synthesize threat intelligence from open-source, commercial, and government sources.
• Identify and track threat actors and their TTPs.
• Develop threat models and risk assessments based on intelligence gathered.
• Produce timely threat intelligence reports for stakeholders.
• Support incident response teams with relevant threat context during investigations.
• Contribute to threat hunting methodologies development and refinement.

Requirements

• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python is a plus.
