Job summary

The Allen Institute is seeking an Information Security Analyst to lead incident and vulnerability management, provide security recommendations for daily operations, and collaborate with administrative and scientific units on InfoSec initiatives. Reporting to the IT Business Operations Manager, you will help shape security directions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of degree and experience
• Experience in IT environments with strong security practices
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac platforms
• Understanding of information security fundamentals (threat modeling, penetration testing, incident response, network security, physical security, etc.)
• Knowledge of identity and cloud security technologies

Responsibilities

• Review our security monitoring platform and respond to network and endpoint events and escalate as needed
• Understand vulnerabilities and resolve them in partnership with other organizational teams
• Perform actions required to maintain security and compliance standards
• Run forensic examinations on desktop and mobile platforms
• Assist in SaaS products security assessments
• Maintain regular reporting on incident status, support issues, and progress toward security goals
