Job summary

Five Star Bank is seeking an Information Security Analyst for onsite work in Rancho Cordova, CA. The role focuses on monitoring and investigating security alerts, managing vulnerability scans, and supporting security governance.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in Information Security, with knowledge of financial regulations, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with IT and business partners. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a related Information Security role.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services regulations and standard practices.
• High attention to detail with thoroughness and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, manage time efficiently, and prioritize activities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business partners or unit managers to meet objectives.
• Good comprehension of software applications including Windows, Office Suite, M365, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, review, and document security alerts and reports generated from various platforms and applications.
• Update documentation and prepare material for the quarterly IT Steering Committee or other governance entities.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and administration of security applications supporting protection of the bank’s infrastructure and customer information.
• Provide oversight and management of the access review process.
• Document and assist with security breaches or incidents.
• Manage vulnerability scans and patch management for internal systems.
• Document and review bank vendor security documentation; coordinate with vendors to obtain required documentation.
• Assist with remediation of vulnerabilities as needed.
• Manage Information Security Awareness Training for employees.
• Handle investigation and triage related to malicious e-mails.
• Update and maintain Information Security procedure documentation.
• Work with the Director of Information Security to research and make recommendations for security enhancements to strengthen the security program.
• Stay current on technology and information security trends and security standards.
• Work closely with the IT support function and assist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
