Job summary

COLSA Corporation seeks an Information Security Analyst (Advanced) to lead IA, RMF, vulnerability assessment, and cyber risk mitigation for Navy networks and mission infrastructure. On-site at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, the role includes coordinating team activities and serving as a functional team lead.

The candidate will partner with government personnel and contractor teams, require TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and bring 10+ years of IA/Cyber experience in DoD environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IA/Cyber Security experience, DoD/Government environments preferred.
• RMF experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Must obtain DCWF-aligned qualifications within 30 days of start and hold TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, upgrade, and monitoring of security measures for networks and information systems.
• Assess vulnerabilities and lead risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee security controls to safeguard digital files and infrastructure.
• Lead IA and Cyber Security activities across task areas.
• Coordinate RMF activities: assessment, POA&M, and authorization documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee tasking of team members performing Information Security Analyst functions.
• Track project progress, resolve issues, and plan resources for cyber events.
• Review vulnerability data, risk assessments, and authorization artifacts for quality.
• Support cyber forensic analysis in response to threats.
• Collaborate with Government personnel and contractor teams on cyber risk and authorization matters.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with DCWF and contract qualifications.

Job description

COLSA is seeking an Information Security Analyst (Advanced) to lead assigned cybersecurity, Information Assurance (IA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), vulnerability assessment, and cyber risk mitigation activities for Navy networks, systems, data, and mission infrastructure. This position will also serve as a functional team lead, providing technical leadership and coordinating the work of team members. This position is located on-site at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

This position is contingent upon contract award. The selected candidate will be proposed as Key Personnel in accordance with proposal requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, upgrade, and monitoring of security measures for computer networks and information systems.

• Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and lead the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

• Oversee implementation of security controls to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.

• Lead Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Security activities across assigned task areas.

• Lead RMF activities, including control assessment, package development, artifact review, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) support, and authorization documentation.

• Coordinate and oversee the tasking of team members performing Information Security Analyst functions.

• Track project progress, resolve execution issues, and support planning for projects, resources, and cyber events.

• Review vulnerability data, security documentation, risk assessments, and authorization artifacts for technical quality.

• Support or oversee cyber forensic analysis in response to cyber threats in hardware and software environments.

• Coordinate with Government technical personnel, program leadership, and contractor team members on cyber risk and authorization matters.

• Mentor junior team members and support team compliance with applicable DCWF and contract qualification requirements.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline or equivalent.

• At least 10 years of Information Assurance (IA) and/or Cyber Security experience, including a minimum of five (5) years performing related functions in a DoD or Other Government Agency platform/weapons system or IT infrastructure environment.

• Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.

• Demonstrated ability to lead functional task execution, coordinate team members, track project progress, and support project planning and resourcing.

• Must obtain qualifications aligned with one or more of the following DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) work roles within 30 days of contract start: 111, 211, 212, 221, 461, 511, 531, 541, 550, 612, or 622. • Must possess a current Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Navy weapon systems and aircraft.
