Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, Colorado seeks a Switchboard Operator to manage the central switchboard, route calls, and communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements per established policy.

You will relay internal and external calls, provide information and customer service, maintain on-call directories, support security and facilities, and work in a fast‑paced onsite environment.

• Maintains desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials. Provides administrative support as needed.
• Operates beeper and paging system to contact hospital personnel and code team. Provides radio support for security and facilities.
• Communicates codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans. Monitors security cameras.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Pay: $18.54 - $24.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
