University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Teaching Faculty II position in Information Law and Ethics. The target hiring range is $75,000-$85,000 on an academic 9-month basis. Requirements include a Master’s degree (or higher) in a related field and university-level teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s degree, or higher, in library science, information science, law, or a closely related field from an accredited US institution or international equivalent by the start date of the appointment.
• Knowledge and expertise in the legal and ethical issues in librarianship and/or information technology.
• Evidence of university-level teaching experience.
• Terminal degree (i.e. PhD or JD) in information science, library science, law, or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge and experience in legal and ethical issues in the public and/or private sectors.
• Demonstrated ability in the design and delivery of courses in face-to-face and online formats.
• Professional experience in libraries, information organizations, legal practice related to information/IP, or technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom and online instruction for assigned courses, including assessment of student performance.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
• Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
