Job description

Governance & Risk Analyst | Elite Law Firm

Plona Partners is partnering with one of the most sophisticated and highly regarded law firms in the country to identify an experienced Governance & Risk Analyst for its growing Governance function. The position sits at the intersection of Conflicts, New Business Intake, Risk Management, Records, Ethical Walls, Outside Counsel Guidelines, and Firm Governance - providing exposure to sophisticated matters, senior attorneys, firm leadership, and complex risk issues. For someone currently working in Conflicts, Governance, Risk, New Business Intake, or Records who wants to broaden their scope, this represents a significant step forward.

The firm operates at the highest end of the legal market and is known for handling extraordinarily sophisticated, high-stakes matters. Rather than operating within a narrow conflicts function, this individual will become a core member of a broader Governance team and develop expertise across the entire matter lifecycle.

  • Complex conflicts research and analysis
  • New client and matter intake
  • Potential conflict identification and resolution
  • Ethical walls and screening procedures
  • Outside Counsel Guidelines
  • Records and information governance
  • Risk and compliance initiatives
  • Governance reporting and analysis

Technology Exposure - Candidates should have experience with sophisticated law firm conflicts/database platforms such as: intapp | 3E | Aderant | LegalKEY

Additional exposure to platforms such as FileTrail, Varonis, Kiteworks, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, or comparable legal technology is highly valuable.
