Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Solutions Designer SME to support Combatant Command Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) under Apollo. The ASAT team provides scalable, integrated mission solutions across planning, analytics, and knowledge management to strengthen information advantage.

As SME, you will design architectures, workflows, and implementation roadmaps, collaborating with data scientists, planners, and engineers to deliver executable designs for multiple Combatant

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Operations, Military Operations, Operational Planning, Business Transformation, or related discipline.
• 11+ years of experience in military operations, solution design, or related mission areas.
• 5+ years supporting Combatant Commands or equivalent operational headquarters.
• Experience designing operational solutions, business processes, and data architectures.
• Understanding of JP 5-0, OIE, Information Forces, and operational design principles.
• Ability to transform operational requirements into designs and implementation strategies.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments with analytic, technical, and organizational stakeholders.
• Strong written, visual, briefing, and facilitation skills.
• Creative yet practical approach to scalable, mission-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core ASAT member supporting Combatant Commands and mission partners.
• Lead as senior solution architect for integrated operational, analytical, and technical designs.
• Coordinate solution designs across ASAT workstreams and with the Solutions Manager.
• Lead design efforts for workflow engineering, automation concepts, and visualization frameworks.
• Create operational concepts, blueprints, and implementation roadmaps for Apollo requirements.
• Translate Combatant Commands needs into technical, analytical, and organizational designs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, planners, and ISIOs to ensure feasibility and relevance.
• Facilitate design workshops, reviews, and stakeholder engagements.
• Prepare design documentation and executive briefings for leadership.
• Support prototyping, pilots, and modernization efforts to improve mission performance.
