Job summary

Credence Management Solutions, LLC seeks an Informatica Architect and SME to lead enterprise data modernization efforts, guiding architecture and implementation of PowerCenter-based data platforms for government programs.

Based in McLean, VA (Tysons Corner) with onboarding planned for September 2026, the role requires deep Informatica expertise, cloud experience, and strong leadership to drive secure, scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
  • 10+ years of enterprise data integration experience with Informatica PowerCenter and related Informatica tools.
  • Proven track record leading modernization efforts for Federal government systems or large-scale data platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter components (Data Integration, Data Quality, Metadata Manager).
  • Strong system architecture, data modeling, ETL, and integration design skills.
  • Experience designing complex data workflows and data pipelines with transformation logic.
  • Strong troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance abilities for Informatica-based solutions.
  • Awareness of current trends in data integration, governance, and Informatica technologies.
  • Excellent communication with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and clients.
  • Experience with Informatica in cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerized architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and Federal regulatory/compliance standards.
  • Informatica certifications are highly desirable; security clearance eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with customer and partners to understand requirements and architect solutions.
  • Orchestrate modernization to transition legacy systems to Informatica PowerCenter with seamless integration.
  • Provide deep technical expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and related tools to guide the team.
  • Collaborate with federal clients, engineers, and analysts to align with program objectives.
  • Develop solutioning strategies to meet modernization challenges with technical and strategic input.
  • Map transformation and data integration processes ensuring data quality during modernization.
  • Mentor junior team members on Informatica tools and best practices.
  • Review current processes and propose Informatica-driven improvements.
  • Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing with government clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare documentation for new system architecture, designs, and specs.
  • Deliver high-quality software solutions with scalable, maintainable code.
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect data.

Position Summary

Credence has an upcoming need for an Informatica Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team supporting architecting, implementing and leading the team to implement Enterprise Data Management Products, including PowerCenter. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and ensure the solution meets the specific needs of the government. This position is based in Credence's corporate offices located in Tysons Corner in McLean, VA and Dayton, OH. This project is slated to begin onboarding in September 2026.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below, as outlined in the contract statement of work:
  • Lead the discovery sessions with customer and partners to understand requirements and challenges and architect solutions.
  • Lead the modernization effort to transition an existing legacy system to the Informatica PowerCenter platform, ensuring a seamless integration with existing architectures.
  • Provide deep technical expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, including its various tools (e.g., Data Integration, Data Quality, Metadata Manager), and guide the team in best practices and efficient use of the platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (including Federal clients, engineers, and business analysts) to design, document, and implement solutions that align with program objectives.
  • Develop and drive solutioning strategies to meet the unique challenges of the modernization effort, offering both technical and strategic recommendations.
  • Assist in mapping out the transformation and data integration processes, ensuring data flow and accuracy through the system modernization.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on Informatica tool usage, system architecture, and related best practices.
  • Review existing system processes and propose improvements and optimizations based on Informatica's capabilities.
  • Conduct workshops, briefings, and knowledge-sharing sessions with the government client and internal teams.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for the new system architecture, designs, and technical specifications.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter components, including but not limited to Data Integration, Data Quality, and Metadata Manager.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and integration strategies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex data workflows, data pipelines, and transformation logic.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain Informatica-based solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends in data integration, governance, and Informatica technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in interacting with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and clients.
  • Experience with implementing Informatica solutions in major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment such as DevSecOps.
  • Experience implementing Informatica solutions in containerized architecture.
  • Knowledge of Federal government regulations and compliance standards related to data systems and security.
  • Certifications in Informatica (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud) are highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible for security clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred
Salary Range

$130,000.00 to $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
