Job summary

Emergere Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Infor VISUAL Finance Functional Lead (Record to Report) to own the R2R processes for our clients. This remote role works US Central or Eastern hours and requires occasional travel to Vantage sites.

You will run GL setup, period close, reconciliations, and reporting, coordinate with the offshore consultant, lead status meetings, and write runbooks to transfer knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Infor VISUAL finance work (GL, AR, AP, cash, period close) as a consultant or as a finance user
• Has run the month-end close in a manufacturing company
• Working knowledge of job costing, inventory and WIP valuation, and standard cost variances
• Strong client-facing skills: running meetings, managing expectations, and explaining VISUAL to controllers and accountants in business terms

Responsibilities

• Run record to report in VISUAL: GL setup, account mapping, period controls and month-end close
• Own reconciliations: sub-ledger to GL, bank, inventory and WIP valuation, and RNIs
• Set up recurring and reversing journals, allocations and standard cost variances
• Handle multi-site consolidation and intercompany eliminations
• Build financial statements for owners and lenders, plus budget vs actual and job cost reporting
• Lead customer communication: run status meetings, triage issues, set priorities with Vantage and report progress
• Write runbooks and test results with offshore consultant before go-live

Infor VISUAL Finance Functional Lead (Record to Report)

• Location: United States, remote. Works US Central or Eastern hours, with travel to Vantage sites as needed.
• Start: As soon as possible

The role

You are Emergere's face to Client. Client runs Infor VISUAL for order to cash, purchase to pay, plan to produce and record to report. Its finance team knows little about VISUAL's finance modules and depends on one outside partner. You will own record to report in VISUAL, be Vantage's day-to-day contact, and build the team's own capability. An offshore technical consultant from Emergere makes the system changes you specify.

What you'll do

• Run record to report in VISUAL: GL setup, the account mapping that posts AR, AP, inventory and job cost to the GL, period controls and the month-end close.
• Map the current close day by day, then cut its length and the number of manual journals and Excel steps.
• Own reconciliations: sub-ledger to GL, bank, inventory and WIP valuation, and received-not-invoiced.
• Set up recurring and reversing journals, allocations and standard cost variances.
• Handle multi-site consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Build financial statements for owners and lenders, plus budget vs actual and job cost (estimate vs actual) reporting.
• Review VISUAL features Vantage does not use yet, such as job costing, GL dimensions and field-level security, and recommend what to turn on.
• Lead customer communication: run status meetings, triage issues, set priorities with Vantage and report progress.
• Write clear requirements for the offshore technical consultant and test the result before it goes live.
• Test finance processes and reports before and after the VISUAL 11 upgrade.
• Work with Vantage's current VISUAL partner on its enhancements, and with Infor support on product issues.
• Write runbooks so the knowledge stays with Vantage, not with one person.

Mandatory skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Infor VISUAL finance work (GL, AR, AP, cash, period close), as a consultant or as a finance user who ran the close in VISUAL.
• Has run the month-end close in a manufacturing company.
• A working command of job costing, inventory and WIP valuation, and standard cost variances.
• Strong client-facing skills: running meetings, managing expectations, and explaining VISUAL to controllers and accountants in business terms.
• Able to travel to Vantage sites when needed.

Desired skills

• Experience with other Infor ERPs, such as Infor LN, SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) or M3.
• Multi-site or multi-entity VISUAL setups and multi-currency.
• A VISUAL upgrade (9 to 10 or 11).
• Make-to-order or engineer-to-order manufacturing.
• Experience working alongside an incumbent implementation partner.
