Job summary

RPI Consultants seeks a talented Infor Birst Technical Consultant- Reporting & Analytics to turn reporting requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

You will work with project teams and client stakeholders to design data platforms and Birst-based reporting, architecture, and security configurations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience with Birst and Infor administration.
  • 3+ years’ experience with BI reporting software such as Birst, SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience in writing SQL
  • 3+ years’ experience with ETL design concepts

Responsibilities

  • Conducts discovery, documents requirements and designs, and coordinates solution delivery
  • Builds and maintains reusable delivery documentation and code
  • Designs and develops data platforms, including warehouses and lakes, to support reports, dashboards, and advanced analytics
  • Helps clients improve data literacy and use analytics to make faster, more informed business decisions
  • Designs and delivers Birst solutions, including administrative functions, architecture, data modeling, reporting, connectivity, optimization, and overall functionality
  • Configures and advises on integration between Infor Security and Birst Security, including role designations and access considerations
  • Formulates and articulates architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending an optimal solution to meet customer’s requirements
  • Collaborates with client stakeholders and development staff to ensure recommendations maximize the value of client data across the organization
  • Drives innovative technology solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends
  • Shares project solutions and outcomes with colleagues to improve delivery on future projects

RPI Consultants is looking for a talented and motivated Technical Consultant, Reporting & Analytics that is passionate about understanding clients’ business needs and implementing solutions that positively impact clients’ daily operations.

This role partners with project teams and client stakeholders to turn reporting requirements into scalable, high-value analytics solutions.

Successful candidates bring strong Birst administration, architecture, design, data modeling, reporting, client-facing consulting, and multi-project delivery experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conducts discovery, documents requirements and designs, and coordinates solution delivery

Preferred Experience

  • Significant Birst analytic and Infor reporting ERP experience in Human Resources, Financial Management, Supply Management, or Payroll domains.
  • Advanced knowledge of Birst design, data flow, connectivity, development, optimization, administration, architecture, data modeling, and reporting tools.
  • Relevant consulting or professional services delivery experience, including turn-key solution delivery across multiple client projects.
  • Technical skills in databases, warehouses, BI, analytics, and visualization platforms ideally within cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
  • Broad knowledge of data technologies, tools, and disciplines including data modeling, dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas), third-normal-form structures, ETL/ELT, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, and database tuning
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE, or QlikView.
  • Experience with Infor CloudSuite, Infor OS/Security, Data Fabric/Streaming Pipelines, Data Lake, Birst, EPM, BI FSM, or Infor Analytics Packages.
  • Visual dashboard development experience and skills and knowledge of best practices
  • Works in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
  • Mentors and shares best practices with team members

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience with Birst and Infor administration.
  • 3+ years’ experience with development in business intelligence reporting software such as Birst, SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience in writing SQL
  • 3+ years’ experience with ETL design concepts
