General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Infoblox Systems Engineer to support government customers from Colorado Springs, CO.

You will provide enterprise Infoblox DDI services with focus on stability and performance, working across government partners and internal teams. You will diagnose incidents, ensure platform reliability, and collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations leads to deliver a strategic DDI platform while meeting security

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher required.
• CDCA certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or 12+ years IT experience.
• Extensive DNS configuration and management experience.
• Strong DNS, DHCP, IPAM, BIND, and NTP knowledge.
• Experience with Python and APIs.
• Ability to work with multiple teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents and problems related to DDI and related services.
• Maintain and manage DNS/DNS infrastructure in a large enterprise.
• Collaborate with government leads, Architecture, Engineering & Operations, and vendors to implement plans for a strategic DDI platform.
• Define capacity, performance metrics, and instrumentation for the environment.
• Ensure changes are implemented with monitoring and proper impact analysis.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER SR PRINCIPAL

Our work depends on an Infoblox Systems Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD, Sterling, VA, or Colorado Springs, CO.

As an Infoblox Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be trusted to provide Enterprise Infoblox DDI and related services to the Government Agency’s internal/external partners and clients with a focus on stability and performance.

HOW A INFOBLOX SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Investigating and diagnosing incidents and problems relating to DDI (Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and related services
• Ensuring the platforms and services are managed andmaintained
• Helpingidentifyand manage risks within the DDI platform
• Working with the Government lead and other service areas’ Architecture, Engineering & Operations leads and technical specialists, as well as professional services staff from vendors to implement the plan to deliver a strategic DDI platform and migrate all in-scope services from existing platforms
• Ensuring that system improvements and changes are implemented and monitoring effects of modifications
• Defining the capacity and performance standards, metrics and thresholds and helping build the instrumentation to effectively manage the environment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (e.g. Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP,CySA+, etc.)
• Core DDI Config and Admin (CDCA)certified
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, or 12+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree
• Extensive recent experience configuring and managing DNS in a large enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, BIND, and NTP
• Understanding of broader technology domains such as storage, virtualization, networking, and data center operations
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cross-system issues, document root cause, and develop remediations
• Experience with Python and APIs
• Self-driven, able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across diverse technical teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
