Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience; foreign degrees evaluated.
• 4+ years progressively responsible experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of viral immunology, especially influenza.
• Ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot complex experiments.
• Experience with development, validation and implementation of advanced immunological assays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory projects from conception to execution.
• Manage samples, inventory and data integrity.
• Validate procedures for immune-response assays.
• Plan experiments and test large sample sets from clinical studies.
• Develop protocols and troubleshoot assays with staff.
• Analyze data and maintain databases.
• Maintain QC/QA, ordering, and equipment upkeep.
• Prepare reports and present data for proposals.
• Contribute to SOPs and Master Control documentation.
• Operate LIMS and stay updated on literature.
