JP Morgan’s US Inflation trading team is part of one of the top Interest Rates Trading businesses on Wall Street.

Job Description

As an Inflation Trading Analyst within the Americas Rates team, you will collaborate with industry-leading professionals to guide and execute transactions for a diverse range of institutional clients, including banks, fund managers, pension funds, insurance companies, and hedge funds. You will gain insights into the movement of capital from the world's most significant institutional investors to its most notable borrowers and issuers. You will benefit from comprehensive training, practical learning experiences, ongoing mentorship and feedback, as well as numerous development opportunities, all designed to help you progress towards your career objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Core daily responsibilities include booking trades, maintaining spreadsheets, reporting and reconciling risk and P&L.
  • Overtime the role will expand to helping manage risk, liquidity and exposure of the trading desk
  • Tracking and reviewing valuation reports and analysis will be expected, in addition to expanding tools on the desk
  • Track market developments and monitor trading systems in order to give sales and clients accurate product and flow information
  • Bring a collaborative approach working with our business partners in sales to provide comprehensive client coverage across the platform.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math or related quantitative field
  • Someone who thrives on the challenge
  • Good understanding of macro drivers in the rates market
  • Superior time management skills required and ability to manage live transactions and daily tasks in high pressure markets
  • Maturity and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and open environment, and take direct feedback well

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Excel skills required, python skills a strong plus.
