Job summary

Novolex in Franklin Park, IL is seeking an Infeed Material Operator for the night shift. Starting hourly rate is $22.46 based on experience, plus shift differential.

You will operate material blending systems, monitor regrind usage, and ensure smooth material flow to all machines in your area. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and endurance to work 12 hours in a hot environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot all material blending systems.

• Monitor regrind usage and adjust as needed to meet goals.
• Maintain material flow to all machines in the area.
• Complete required paperwork and label materials for future use.
• Maintain hoses and housekeeping in blender areas and surrounding spaces.
• Write work orders for repairs and communicate with shifts.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Infeed Material Operator|Franklin Park, IL|

Compensation:

• Starting rate of $22.46 (based on experience) per hour plus shift differential

Available Shift:

• Night Shift
  • 7:00pm - 7:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary: Services flow of material to extruders for processing by performing the following duties:

• Responsible for operating and troubleshooting all material blending systems.
• Responsible for cleaning all material system filters, socks and canisters.
• Responsible for monitoring regrind usage, assisting with grinding scrap sheet, and making adjustments based on departmental goals.
• Responsible for maintaining material flow to all machines within assigned area.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Identify and properly label all materials placed into gaylords for later use.
• Maintain material hoses; replace when necessary.
• Maintain housekeeping of all blender mezzanines, silo room, compressor area, and back aisle up to the railroad tracks.
• Clean silo access rooms.
• Write work orders for items in need of repair.
• Communicate with following shift and operators.
• Follow company safety procedures and policies.
• Perform company safety procedures and policies.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
