Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Macon, Georgia invites a Board Certified Infectious Diseases physician to join a rapidly expanding practice. The position covers inpatient consults at two hospitals and an outpatient clinic, with future development of OPAT and wound care services.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, clinically strong, and an effective educator, with interest in continued program development and expansion of Infectious Diseases services.

Qualifications

• Board Certified MD/DO required.
• Inpatient rounding providing Infectious Diseases consults with ~6+ new consults daily.
• Outpatient clinic for follow-up and new consults.
• Active participation in Antibiotic and Diagnostic Stewardship programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Infectious Diseases consultations and rounding.
• Manage outpatient follow-up and new consults in clinic.
• Supervise residents on service and collaborate with attending physicians.
• Engage in program development to expand Infectious Diseases services, including OPAT and wound care.
