Job summary

UNMC in Omaha, NE is recruiting an Infectious Diseases physician to join our faculty and contribute to high-level ID services, including biocontainment and transplant/oncology care. The position supports ongoing education, clinical care, and research within a collaborative team of ID physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate is MD/DO/MBBS or equivalent and board certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases, with opportunities for leadership in infection control and program development.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent.
• Board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

• Join a faculty and contribute to subspecialty Infectious Diseases care including biocontainment, solid organ transplant, oncology, and critical care.
• Provide inpatient Infectious Diseases coverage and support transplant/oncology ID service lines.
• Assume leadership roles such as Associate Medical Director of the Biocontainment Unit and Infection Control.
• Engage in Global Health & Research initiatives and ID education through fellowships.
