Job summary

North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants (NTIDC) in Dallas, TX, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver outpatient infectious disease care. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, obtain histories, order tests, and manage treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

The role requires prescribing medications, providing follow-up care, patient education, and adherence support, with potential involvement in clinical research

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Texas licensure eligibility or current licensure preferred.
• Clinical experience in infectious diseases or internal medicine.
• Strong patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based prescribing.
• Experience with antimicrobial/antiviral therapies.
• Ability to educate patients and coordinate care across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and obtain histories in outpatient settings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor responses with follow-up care.
• Provide patient education, adherence counseling, and care coordination.
• Support clinical research activities by identifying eligible participants and documenting outcomes when appropriate.
