Role Overview
As an Infectious Disease Specialist Advisor, you will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities, advising on clinical and regulatory trends, and ensuring that our portfolio companies align with the latest scientific advancements and public health policies. You will collaborate with our investment team, startup founders, and external partners to shape the future of infectious disease prevention, diagnostics, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential investments in biotech, diagnostics, therapeutics, and healthcare services related to infectious diseases.
• Provide scientific and medical due diligence, assessing clinical validity, market potential, and regulatory landscape of companies.
• Offer strategic guidance to portfolio companies developing solutions for infectious diseases, including vaccine development, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), rapid diagnostics, and pandemic response technologies.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities in infectious disease management, including advancements in AI-driven diagnostics, novel antivirals, and next-generation vaccines.
• Advise on FDA, CDC, WHO, and global regulatory frameworks affecting infectious disease innovations.
• Collaborate with healthcare executives, startup founders, and policymakers to inform impactful investment decisions.
• Represent the firm at conferences, panels, and industry events to expand thought leadership in infectious disease innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD, PhD, or equivalent in Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in clinical practice, biotech, pharma, public health, or research focused on infectious diseases.
• Strong understanding of infectious disease epidemiology, drug development, diagnostics, and regulatory pathways.
• Experience with venture capital, biotech startups, or health policy is a plus.
