Job summary

St. Joseph's Health seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse in the Infectious Disease Department on-site in Paterson, NJ.

The RN will plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the Nursing Process, collaborating with the Department of Nursing to support unit goals. Required NJ RN licensure, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, and completion of orientation with department-specific certifications (BLS, NRP within 1 year; NRP within 6 months of hire; BLS/ACLS/PALS via AHA).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year of hire.
• NRP certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire through the American Heart Association.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Support the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within St. Joseph's Healthcare System.
• Provide care on the Infectious Disease Department unit in a collaborative manner.
