Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a night shift role with every other weekend and every third holiday. You will guide patients through their episode of care with safety and quality at the forefront.

Responsibilities include family-centered nursing, coordinating with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff, applying evidence-based care, and maintaining professional standards. CPR certification is required, with willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Uses Therapeutic Communication while monitoring physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Participates in quality improvement, data collection, and staff reporting.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Education
