Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Research Coordinator-Infectious Disease to support clinical trials across Evanston, Skokie, IL, and other sites. You will consent and monitor patients, screen trial candidates, collect medical histories, ship specimens, and manage drug dispensing per protocol.

The role requires 1–5 years in research, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and experience with phlebotomy/ECG. Travel to study sites and regulatory coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare-related fields.
• 1–5 years of research experience.
• Experience with phlebotomy, ECG and pharmacy practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care services including consenting, treating and monitoring of patients.
• Recruit and screen candidates for clinical trials.
• Acquire past medical and medication history profiles; ship lab samples.
• Dispense research drug to patients according to protocol.
• Utilize electronic capture to update patient information; oversee data for audits.
• Complete regulatory submissions/revisions for the IRB and ensure protocol adherence.
