About the Role

This is a fully remote, per diem opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD / DO) to provide teleacute consultative services. The role involves virtual support for hospitalized adult patients across multiple community hospitals within the network. Consultations will be delivered both synchronously and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

Deliver remote infectious disease consults for adult inpatients at various regional hospitals.

Use telehealth platforms to provide real-time and on-demand medical evaluations.

Maintain thorough and timely documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Collaborate with on-site hospital teams to support continuity and quality of care.

Work variable shifts Monday through Friday between 8 : 00 AM and 5 : 00 PM.

No on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Must reside and be licensed to practice in North Carolina.

MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Infectious Disease.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
