Job summary

MusC Health Infectious Disease Columbia is seeking a BC/BE Infectious Disease physician to join a growing, community-based health system in Columbia, SC. The role includes inpatient and outpatient consultative services for adults 18+, across two hospitals and an outpatient practice.

Experienced or graduating fellows are welcome; opportunity to work with OPAT and a collaborative infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship team.

Qualifications

Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
Must hold a valid unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive infectious disease services for inpatients and outpatients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across two acute-care hospitals and an outpatient practice.
Participate in OPAT support with dedicated medical assistant.
Work with adults 18+ with acute and chronic infectious diseases, including HIV and Hep C/B care as appropriate.
No overnight or weekend call.
