The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health Infectious Disease Columbia seeks a BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician to join a growing community-based health system in Columbia, South Carolina. The chosen candidate will provide comprehensive infectious disease services to patients in the Midlands region and beyond, with experience or fellowship training welcomed.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
• Must hold a valid unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.
• Strong clinical, and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultative services at two acute-care hospitals and one outpatient practice.
• Work with adults (18+) with acute and chronic infectious diseases, HIV and Hep C/B care as needed.
• No overnight or weekend call; participate in an active Hospitalist Program.
• Collaborate with Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists and Infection Prevention teams.
• Support OPAT with dedicated Medical Assistant.
