Position Overview:

• Board Certified/Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD/DO) needed to provide per diem virtual teleacute services across multiple UNC Health community hospital facilities.
• This role involves both synchronous and asynchronous consultations for adult patients (18+).
• Remote position promoting work/life balance with no commute.
• Variable shifts; Hours of Operation are Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm.
• Candidate must be located in North Carolina.
• No call responsibilities.
• Utilizes EPIC electronic medical record platform.

Ideal Candidate:

• Preferably 2+ years of experience.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Telemedicine experience is a plus but not required.
• Open-minded, flexible, and committed to innovative care delivery.
