Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Houston seeks an Adult Infectious Disease physician to deliver board-certified care to adults with a focus on infectious diseases and HIV in a community-based setting.

You will contribute to developing guidelines, mentoring mid-level providers, and participating in research when available, while supporting prevention, outbreak response, and public health collaboration to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Infectious Disease Fellowship.
• Must participate in Medicare/Medicaid and other relevant programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide infectious disease specialty care in addition to general primary care for adults, including HIV patients.
• Develop and update clinical guidelines for HIV, Hepatitis C, TB, PrEP, PEPs and other ID diseases.
• Manage infections and complex illnesses with a focus on infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, vaccines, and coordinate care.
• Collect and analyze patient information and discuss results with patients.
• Supervise mid-level providers and mentor students; support outbreak responses.
