This role involves diagnosing and managing infectious diseases, providing expert consultation to other physicians, and participating in infection control initiatives. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infectious Disease (ID) Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team in Davenport, Iowa. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases across a wide range of patient populations. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis & Treatment: Provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, viral and bacterial infections, tropical diseases, and hospital-acquired infections.
Consultation: Serve as a consultant to other physicians for complex infectious disease cases, providing guidance on treatment options, antimicrobial therapy, and infection control.
Patient Care: Manage a diverse caseload of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including critically ill patients in the hospital. Work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
Antimicrobial Stewardship: Participate in antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to optimize the use of antibiotics and reduce the spread of resistant organisms within the hospital and community.
Infection Control & Prevention: Work closely with infection control teams to monitor, prevent, and manage infectious outbreaks within the hospital and local community.
