UNC Physician’s Network is seeking a part time (.6 FTE) Board Certified/Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD/DO) to provide virtual teleacute services to a variety of patients at multiple UNC Health community hospital facilities. This role will provide both synchronous and asynchronous consults to patients.

About This Position:

  1. Remote position, offering the opportunity for work/life balance with no commute.
  2. Service operates Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
  3. Virtual consultations of hospitalized patients, consisting of adults 18 and older.
  4. High-quality care to adult (18+ years old) hospital patients who need medical services.
  5. Candidate must be physically located in North Carolina.
  6. Competitive compensation and benefits.
  7. No call.
  8. EPIC electronic medical record platform utilized.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. 2+ years of experience is preferred.
  2. Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Disease.
  3. Telemedicine experience is a plus, but not required.
  4. Open-minded and flexible with change.
  5. Dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to deliver care.
