Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered.
• Active and unrestricted NP license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide infectious disease consults in long-term care settings.
• Assess and manage infections including HIV, Hep B, pneumonia.
• Order and interpret cultures, blood work, and imaging studies.
• Prescribe and manage antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral antibiotics.
• Collaborate with infectious disease physicians and teams.
• Monitor infection control practices and support stewardship programs.
• Educate staff and families on infection prevention and treatment.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
