Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a full-time Senior Medical Assistant in Infectious Disease in O'Fallon, MO. This outpatient role supports physicians, performs phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing, and ensures accurate patient records and charting.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, preparing patients for exams, and facilitating procedures, with no on-call, weekends, or holidays required.

Qualifications

• Role provides patient care under physician supervision.
• Must comply with practice protocols and procedures.
• Experience with clinical skills and exam readiness.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and accurate charting.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls and communicates test results to providers with proper terminology.
• Assists provider by preparing patients for exams, procedures and treatments.
