Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to lead antimicrobial stewardship activities as Co-Chair of the ASP. You will collaborate with infectious disease physicians, microbiology, infection prevention, and hospital epidemiology to optimize antimicrobial therapy and stewardship across care areas.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required (BPharm/PharmD).
• Registered RI pharmacist or eligible for RI licensure.
• PGY1 Pharmacy Practice or BCPS completed.
• PGY2 Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy preferred.
• Advanced certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship (SIDP/MAD-ID) required.
• Board certification/eligibility in Infectious Disease (BCIDP) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of antimicrobial stewardship program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead antimicrobial stewardship activities as Co-Chair of the ASP.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, clinical microbiologists, infection prevention practitioners, hospital epidemiologist and obstetric medicine.
• Provide education and support to patients, caretakers and staff; perform other duties as requested.
