Job summary

Oakwood Health and Rehab Center is seeking an Infection Preventionist/Staff Development RN to lead infection control efforts and staff education in a skilled nursing environment. This full-time role is housed in Nursing Administration and offers a pathway to strengthen clinical systems and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate QA activities, drive onboarding and education programs, and ensure a safe, compliant care setting for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia (VA) to practice.
• 2+ years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care.
• Certification or experience in Infection Control and staff education preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve QA processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing staff education and onboarding.
• Lead infection prevention efforts and align with CDC & CMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance (QA): Monitor, audit, and enhance clinical systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Staff Development Coordinator (SDC): Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs and onboarding for nursing staff.
• Infection Preventionist (IP): Lead infection control efforts, maintain compliance with CDC & CMS guidelines, and promote a safe environment.
