Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Infection Preventionist (RN) BSN and NYS RN License Required.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the guidance of the Director of Infection Prevention and Control, the Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for providing a safe environment where risks for infection are identified and minimized for patients, employees and visitors at all NYU Langone Health patient care delivery sites. The IP collaborates with teams and individuals to implement prevention and control measures based on best practices and the outcome of surveillance activities. Responsible for conducting infection control surveillance and activities, assists with investigations of outbreaks and education and consultation of healthcare providers, and performs healthcare associated infections (HAI) prevention activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BS in Nursing with current NYS licensure. Minimum of two years clinical experience or experience working in infection prevention and control or related field is required. Holds and maintains or obtains within three years of hire, certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC)..
Required Licenses: Certn Board of Infection Control
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree In Nursing, PublicHealth or Allied Field. Membership in the Association for Professional in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology Inc. Solid body of knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, principles of adult education.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $112,360.00 - $132,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
