Canterbury Nursing & Rehab is seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP) in Indiana to protect residents and staff by implementing prevention measures. The IP will assess staff education needs, coordinate programs, and ensure State and Federal compliance in a nursing home setting.

The role requires an Indiana RN license (or ability to obtain one) and IP training per CDC guidelines or equivalent advanced training, reflecting our CARE values in daily operations and quality care for residents.

Infection Preventionist Opportunity at Canterbury Nursing & Rehab

Registered Nurse

The Infection Preventionist (IP) implements measures that will protect the residents and staff in the community. The IP is responsible for assessing the education needs of the staff and coordinate programs based upon identified needs and ensure State and Federal compliance.

Skills Needed:

• Passion for Education and Training: Effectively educate healthcare staff and patients about infection prevention practices.
• Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate others to follow infection prevention practices.
• Data Management and Analysis: Monitor, track, analyze data and trends associated with infections, immunizations and antibiotic use.

Requirements:

• Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain Indiana license.
