Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the infection control program across facilities. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and partners with the IDT and Medical Director to implement evidence-based infection prevention practices.

Requirements include RN/LPN/LVN license in Texas, and preferred supervisory experience. The incumbent will conduct surveillance, provide education, manage immunizations and contribute to policy development.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current RN/LVN/LPN license in the applicable State.
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in a long-term or health care setting is preferred.
• Infection Preventionist Course and obtain certification.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.

• Monitor/Review orders, assessments and documentation daily for accuracy and appropriate intervention.
• Lead Antibiotic Stewardship Daily Meeting and document minutes.
• Perform infection control surveillance and education activities.
• Observe hand hygiene and PPE use; provide on-the-spot education as needed.
• Maintain logs, reports and required documentation; report changes in condition.

Through strategic planning, leadership and consultation, you will lead and direct the infection control committee in the identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives throughout the facility.The Infection Preventionist reports to the Director of Nursing and partners with the IDT team and Medical Director to develop a system of care that promotes sound and scientific infection prevention principles and practices.Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current and valid RN/LVN/LPN license in the applicable State.Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in a long-term or health care setting is preferred.Must complete Infection Preventionist Course and obtain certificationAbility to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from department heads, customers, (Patients, family members, physicians, etc.) and the general public.Must be detail-orientedMust have the ability to adhere to strict deadlinesEssential Functions:Monitor/ Review the following for accuracy, completion, required documentation and appropriate intervention daily:Telephone Orders for AntibioticsPre-assessment for suspected infectionMedication and Treatment (if applicable) Administration RecordIndividual Infection Control Surveillance Forms/AssessmentsLead Antibiotic Stewardship Daily Meeting and document minutesAntibiotic Time-Out for all antibiotics 72 hours after first doseRequired monthly reportsLab and diagnostic reportsCheck Glucometer and Refrigerator Temperature LogsTrack and trend C.
