Qualifications

• RN licensure in South Dakota or eligible for licensure.
• 1+ year Infection Control experience; 3+ years healthcare experience.
• CIC certification or equivalent training as applicable.
• Completion of an approved nursing program or related bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveillance using CDC criteria and monitor nosocomial infections.
• Conduct patient and environmental rounds in all inpatient/outpatient areas.
• Develop and implement infection prevention policies and educate staff.
• Participate in infection control investigations and quality improvement activities.
• Disseminate recommendations hospital-wide and support education.
• Assist in annual Infection Control Plan development and evaluation.
