Position: Infection Preventionist

The Infection Preventionist supports organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention, and control programs in accordance with current requirements of regulatory, government, and accrediting/licensing agencies, as well as organizational policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:

1. Surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)
2. Collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of surveillance data
3. Implementing organizational performance improvement initiatives
4. Outbreak investigation
5. Educating team members (TMs) and patients
6. Annual evaluation of the Infection Prevention program
