As an Infection Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the prevention and control of infections, promoting a culture of safety, and contributing to the overall quality of patient care.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Infection Prevention team. As an Infection Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting surveillance and investigations of healthcare-associated infections
• Developing and implementing infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to educate staff on infection prevention practices
• Providing guidance and support to facility staff on infection prevention and control measures
• Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Conduct environmental rounds and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement infection prevention education programs
• Monitor and track infection rates and provide data‑driven recommendations for improvement
• Participate in hospital‑wide quality improvement initiatives and projects
• Maintain accurate and timely records of infection prevention activities

Requirements:

• Current Michigan State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control
